Controller: ShowtimeCompetitions (UK)

We collect only what we need to run events and manage entries.

What we collect

Email address (entry management and support)
Lichess handle (to link entry to results)
Entry/payment metadata (paid/unpaid status, timestamps, payment reference)
Optional: mailing list subscription consent

Why we collect it

To create and manage entry records
To confirm payment status and prevent abuse
To publish results/leaderboards using your Lichess handle

Sharing

Payments are processed by Stripe (when enabled). Emails may be sent via a mailing provider (e.g. Mailchimp) if you subscribe. Games and results are hosted on Lichess.

If used, Mailchimp acts as an email service provider (processor) for subscription messages.

Retention

We retain entry records for a reasonable period for administration, disputes, and accounting. You can request deletion where applicable.

Payments & prizes Refunds Privacy Terms

Organiser: ShowtimeCompetitions • Registration fees are administrative service fees (not wagers or bets). Prizes (if offered) are awarded manually by the organiser after results verification. Games/results are hosted on Lichess. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Lichess.org.

Minimum players & automatic refunds This event requires a minimum number of paid entries to run. If the minimum is not reached by 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, the event will be cancelled and all paid entries will be refunded automatically to the original payment method. Refunds may take a few days to appear depending on your bank/card provider.
